Professional Littmann Electronic 4100 WS Stethoscope Amplified for the Hearing Impaired Ambient Noise Reduction (ANR) Technology: The Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 4100 WS is an amplified sound stethoscope with ambient noise reduction technology. System has recording, storage and playback capabilities, digital signal processing and infrared transmission capabilities for data transfer to other electronic stethoscopes or IBM compatible computer or hand-held devices. This Littmann amplified stethoscope has proprietary Ambient Noise Reduction (ANR) technology that reduces ambient noise by an average of 75% (-12dB) without eliminating critical body sounds. Three frequency modes are available for listening to heart, lung, and other body sounds: Bell (20-200 Hz), Diaphragm (100-500 Hz), and Extended Range (20-1000 Hz). When combined with the 3M Sound Analysis Software, this electronic stethescope provides a state-of-the art auscultation system, allowing you to see what you are hearing via visual display of a phonocardiogram. This "hardware" and "software" combination enhances teaching opportunities, servess as a diagnostic aid and helps make more effective use of telemedicine.
